Nightly Nugget: Water in the southern hemisphere

Did you know that water in a pan, sink or toilet drains in a counterclockwise rotation in the northern hemisphere and a clockwise rotation in the southern hemisphere? Probably, since the Simpson's did it. This is due by the Coriolis Effect, which is caused by the rotation of the Earth.

Pretty cool huh? Except it's not true.
